How to Enable JavaScript in Safari on iPhone

This guide shows the process of enabling JavaScript in Safari on an iPhone or iPod.

Note: The screenshots are taken with iOS 7, however these instructions are the same for other versions of Safari on iOS.

  1. Tap the "Settings" icon on the home screen

    Return to the Home Screen by pressing the round button underneath the screen. Find the "Settings" icon and tap on it.

  2. Scroll the Settings page down to the bottom

    Scroll the screen down the screen until the Safari item is visible, then tap on it.

  3. Tap the "Safari" menu option

  4. Scroll the "Safari" settings section down

    Scroll down until the "Advanced" option is visible.

  5. Tap on the "Advanced" menu item

  6. Find the "JavaScript" setting

    The "JavaScript" setting is near the top of the "Advanced" screen. The screenshot below shows that the setting is disabled: it is slid over to the left.

  7. Slide the JavaScript setting control to the right to enable it

  8. JavaScript is now enabled
